Οικονιμικοι Δεικτες ειναι διαφορες αξιολογες και “αξιοπιστες” εκθεσεις της Κυβερνησης, Πανεπιστημιων και αλλων Ιδιωτικου τυπου του Επιχειρηματικου τομεα. Μετρανε γενικοτερα την “κατασταση" της “Οικονομιας”. Οι περισσοτερες ειναι μηνιαιες εκθεσεις και μερικες ειναι εβδομαδιαιες. Γενικοτερα η “αγορα” (the Market), δινει μεγαλη προσοχη στα αποτελεσματα ωστε να προσδιορισει την γενικοτερη ταση δηλαδη “net buyers" or "net sellers" for the day. Καθε φορα που κυκλοφορει μια εκθεση, πρεπει να γνωριζουμε την ωρα και το περιεχομενο της, γιατι ειναι σε θεση να επηρεσει την πορεια των τιμων αναλογα με την ερμηνεια που θα της δωσει η “αγορα” (the Market). Υπαρχουν πολλοι και διαφοροι δεικτες. Θα δουμε μερικες απο τις αναφορες αναλυτικοτερα παρακτω. Ενα πραγμα που θα πρεπει να εχουμε παντα υπ’οψιν μας, οτι ολοι οι δεικτες δεν εχουν την ιδια σημασια και επιρροη στις "αγορες" καθημερινα. Ετσι θα πρεπει να μαθουμε παρατηρωντας τις αντιδρασεις τους σε διαφορετικες χρονικες περιοδους, και πως θα εκμεταλλευτουμε αυτες τις αντιδρασεις τους αναλογα με το “trading" style του καθενος. And to make it all more fun, η σπουδαιοτητα τους ειναι αναλογη της χρονικης περιοδου και γενικοτερα της αντιληψης της “αγορας”.

The Consumer Price Index ειναι το μετρημα του κοστους του βιωτικου επιπεδου και την εκθεση ετοιμαζει η στατιστικη υπηρεσια εργασιας των ΗΠΑ.Το CPI παρακολουθειται ευρυτατα και ειναι δεικτης πληθωρισμου. Η σχεδιαση του ειναι ετσι ωστε να συγκρινει τις σχετικες μεταβολες των τιμων σε σχεση με τον χρονο, ενος καθορισμενου “καλαθιου” προϊοντων και παροχων υπηρεσιων που κανουν χρηση οι καταναλωτες. Το CPI εχει την ταση να υπερβαλλει οσο αναφορα τις πληθωριστικες τασεις. Αυτο συμβαινει γιατι ο δεικτης δεν προσαρμοζεται στην αντικατασταση των προϊοντων του "καλαθιου" αλλα και στις γρηγορες αλλαγες των τιμων της τεχνολογιας.

Προβλεπει την συνολικη αξια, των αγαθων και παροχης υπηρεσιων εγχωριας παραγωγης των ΗΠΑ. Το πραγματικο GDP ειναι το περιεκτικο κριτηριο της οικονομικης δραστηριοτητας των ΗΠΑ. Η μεταβολη της αποδοσης μετριεται σε πραγματικο χρονο (ο πληθωρισμος δεν συμπεριλαμβανεται). Ετοιμαζεται απο το τμημα Οικονομικων Αναλυσεων της υπηρεσιας Εμποριου των ΗΠΑ.

Μετραει το χρηματικο αποθεμα των ΗΠΑ, συμπεριλαμβανομενου του Μ1 (χρημα σε κυκλοφορια, καταθεσεις επιταγων, nonblank traveler’s checks, και αλλου ειδους καταθεσεις) επισης money market funds, overnight Eurodollars and προθεσμιακες καταθεσεις μικροτερες των $100,000. Υπαρχουν αρκετοι δευτερευουσας σημασιας, οι οποιοι εξεταζουν πιο συγκεκριμενα διαφορες βιομηχανιες ή τομεις.

Παρολο που οι αγορες δινουν μεγαλη σημασια ιδιαιτερα σε σπουδαιες οικονομικες εκθεσεις, πιστευω οτι οι traders, οχι πως θα πρεπει να τις αγνοουν, αλλα δεν πρεπει να δινεται τοση μεγαλη σημασια στα αποτελεσματα τους, οσο στην επιρροη που εχουν στις αγορες καθε φορα...........
